Regional Supervisors are enthusiastic, organized, and motivated individuals.  They are confident in their ability to supervise instructors, as well as interact with students, parents, and program directors.  All applicants must be 21 years of age or older and MUST HAVE a background as either a guidance counselor, school supervisor, 10 month school administrator, or manager;  OR are currently enrolled in a graduate program to become one of the positions above and are looking to gain experience.  Knowledge of effective instruction is a plus.

 

Each new hire will be required to attend a paid Black Rocket training program during evening hours or on weekends. When training is complete, supervisors will be expected to have gained a general understanding of most content areas, scheduling, the Black Rocket Approach, company culture, and site policies. Training begins in April, 2013.   

 

This is a summer seasonal position and will be full time in June through August.  

Lead Instructors are adults who are responsible for the well being and education of the students.  A lead instructor may have either a degree/experience in education or significant experience in one of the content areas being taught. They must have a strong understanding of the course concepts being taught as well as any techniques and software involved. Classroom management skills are preferred.
 

Upon completion of the Black Rocket training program, instructors must demonstrate competency in the core concepts being taught and software used.  In addition to teaching responsibilities, lead instructors are also responsible for supervision of staff, equipment management, enforcement of site policies, and meeting project deadlines.
 

Training requires availability during some evenings and weekends. Training begins in April, 2013.
