Lightz! Camera! Action! Viral Edition

One script.  A dozen different views.

In this “space limited” program of only 12 students, be prepared to stretch your creativity!  You will all be given the same general simple script treatment and the same sets of scenes to edit from.  Wait until you see how differently each student crafts their final story!

Take the best aspects of the Lightz! Camera! Action! program and add the opportunity to experience intensive instruction in lighting, filming, editing principles, editing techniques, and story telling. This course is designed for young adults who have the desire to focus on film production in high school or college. Students will begin by collaborating on a single story, but then each participant will create their own unique version of the film in trailer form. Once the film trailers are complete at the end of the week, kids will continue the experience at home! All students will be able to participate in an additional 5 hours of online instruction and workshops about various aspects of film-making and the film industry, be able to participate in a unique online community of digital artists, and publish their trailer for 3 months on a public Black Rocket website to see if any becomes a Viral Video. 5 hours of online tutorial, access to website, and website hosting are all included.
